SARDINES - the last time I will wait on you all the course is set no time to change down behind the cord of wood beyond the storm drain I think there's room the distance deceived they had to protect the new queen see the large arm of the ash beside the locust with the sharp thorns and broken limbs inside the workers built a beehive we stumbled in in the last lark we lost the ball there in dreams it is a fix I don't get in here's the proof you seek like a sardine tin packed in they followed me to them my unsuspecting young friends my arms my ears my lips my heart my flesh my tongue my head is on fire we have to hide we have to hide now they're nearer nearer

It's Low Hanging Fruit. This album is an incredible assembly of both musicians and musicianship. But the groove on LHF kills me every time. Check out the Live at recordBar version for a secret drum fill that will break your cakes. gardeezy
Sludge, Shoegaze, Atmospheric, Heavy Metal, Alt-metal, you name it. This album has it all, and it is perfect. It came out during a rough time period of my life and others lives too. It's been the soundtrack for all of my pain. Thank you Hum tawper
Twitchy, effects-heavy post-punk grooves give way to psychedelic surf-rock delirium on the Toronto quartet's dreamy-yet-doomy second LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 25, 2024
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
